Material and Hardware Development In addition to manufacturing of accessories, Vanguard International also provides services in developing hardware as well as new synthetic material. Vanguard has cultivated very close relationships with the leading material suppliers in Taiwan, a country that supplies the most extensive selection of synthetic material in all of Asia. At the same time, we are fully capable in supplying organic material such as leather, cotton canvas, paper straw, and others. In the past, our ability to quickly develop new material has allowed our customers to stay at the leading edge of accessory fashion. Back
Innovative Design Implementations Although Vanguard International is not engaged in the business of fashion design, we frequently provide to our customers suggestions on construction designs that may yield better durability and save costs on production. Because of our extensive experience in the accessory industry, we are familiar with most, if not all, methods of construction, including attachment of hardware, handles, straps, webbing, etc. In the past, we have provided our customers with innovative design and construction techniques that would allow maximum manufacturing efficiency in terms of both time and cost. Standardized International Business Transactions and Practices At Vanguard International, we understand our customer's concern over the various risks involving international transactions in Asia. We take several steps to minimize such risks for our customers. First, we conduct all our transaction in U.S. dollars. Second, we practice standard international transaction procedures, using LC and FOB delivery protocols to ensure maximum reliability in delivering the shipment to the appropriate destination. Finally, we ensure that all export and import restrictions and requirements are fully addressed to ensure a problem-free export of products from Taiwan and/or China. Back
Observance of International Human Rights We at Vanguard International subscribe to the philosophy that there are certain minimum standards of human life quality that must be cherished and should not be breached. Unlike some of our competitors in the industry, Vanguard International do not engage in illegal labor practices that may be contrary to the international standard of human rights. Respect and Protection of Intellectual Property Vanguard International views its customers as partners and has a proprietary interest in helping its customers succeed in their business. Part of protecting that interest is to fully observe that customer's intellectual property rights in trademarks, trade dress, copyrights, and patents. Unlike some other manufacturers, when our customers entrust us with their designs for purposes of manufacturing, we do not distribute or disclose such proprietary information to any other third party. In addition, we also keep a keen eye for any possible violation of our customer's intellectual property rights that may exist within our zone of operation. If such violation comes to our attention, we promptly notify both our customers as well as the appropriate authorities. Back
